APGS 2017 Weather Update For Da Nang

Posted By: Asia Pacific Golf Group at 6 November 2017 | Written By: Mike Sebastian

The weather outlook for the city of Da Nang during the staging days of the 2017 Asia Pacific Golf Summit (APGS 2017) is forecast to be fine.

The advance forecast indicates that on November 14 through to November 16, Da Nang’s weather is expected to be partly cloudy with some scattered rain. Average temperature on the days in question is expected to range between 22 C and 27 C.

We have been receiving queries on whether conditions are safe in the wake of Typhoon Damrey which has hit Vietnam. Our sources on the spot advised that Da Nang only experienced some strong winds and rain, and that the city is being cleaned up for the staging of the 2017 APEC Conference which will start this week.

World leaders like President Donald Trump and China’s Xi Jinping will be in Da Nang for the event. The APEC Conference will run as scheduled.

The Asia Pacific Golf Summit comes after APEC and given the weather forecast, it will be all systems go for the Summit.

Typhoon Note: The heaviest impact of the typhoon was near the city of Nha Trang, which is around 500 km (310 miles) south of the coastal city of Danang.
