With just less than two weeks to go, golf clubs in the region have turned on the heat and votes are flying in at a record shattering pace for the 2017 Asian Golf Awards.

This year has developed into a record shattering year for the on-line polls with the latest count as of 10:00am on June 19 standing at 91,112 valid votes received, surpassing the previous high which was 84,761 – making it the highest volume of votes cast in the annual polls.

What is most interesting is that a new trend is emerging in this year’s polls – many new names in the industry are making a concerted push to be recognised as serious contenders for top honours at the Asian Golf Awards.

The Asian Golf Awards is the only pan-Asian recognition event which honours the golf industry’s best. For 18 years, it has been the benchmark for excellence and it is an award programme where the outcome is determined by the popular vote.

Unlike some award programmes where winners are required to pay to receive awards and certificates, this is not the case with the Asian Golf Awards. All awards and certificates are supplied by the Asia Pacific Golf Group in recognition of the high standards of excellence set by the winners.

Thailand, the region’s top golfing destination continues to draw strong support and looks good to pass the previous record set for having received over 15,000 valid votes.

If you have not voted yet, now’s the time to crank it up! The on-line polls close at midnight on June 30, 2017. So, if your members and guests and patrons have not voted for the “Best Amongst The Best” yet, get your marketing people to get a move on!

Take note that voting will only be valid if votes are cast through the official on-line polling facility. So, get your members, guests and friends to start voting for your club, your course, your staff and your service amongst a number of other key operational areas.
