Asian Golf Awards 2017 – Goodness Gracious – Votes Hit 84,000 Mark!
Never has the Asian Golf Awards seen such frenetic activity in voting – as of 10:00am on June 12, the number of valid votes cast in the 2017 on-line polls had hit 84,761 – making it the highest volume of votes cast in the annual polls.
The Asian Golf Awards is the only pan-Asian recognition event which honours the golf industry’s best. For 18 years, it has been the benchmark for excellence and it is an award programme where the outcome is determined by the popular vote.
Unlike some award programmes where winners are required to pay to receive awards and certificates, this is not the case with the Asian Golf Awards. All awards and certificates are supplied by the Asia Pacific Golf Group in recognition of the high standards of excellence set by the winners.
The past week’s voting activity has been very competitive amongst clubs vying for top honours representing Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, China and Vietnam.
Voting has also been moving at a cracking pace in some new categories involving golf equipment, apparel and accessories.
Last year, Thailand was the top nation in the total number of votes cast amounting to slightly over 15,000 valid votes.
There is only two weeks left before the on-line polls close at midnight on June 30, 2017. So, if your members and guests and patrons have not voted for the “Best Amongst The Best” yet, get your marketing people to get a move on!
Take note that voting will only be valid if votes are cast through the official on-line polling facility. So, get your members, guests and friends to start voting for your club, your course, your staff and your service amongst a number of other key operational areas.
